Here are our kitties at MKC all ready for adoption:

Kendric
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: June 14, 2023
Kendric was discovered at 6 months of age as a stray hanging around on a PCON volunteer’s porch. After their search for anyone who may have been missing a young tabby boy produced no answers, the couple fostered Kendric for PCON until he was ready for adoption. As well as his foster mom & dad, Kendric’s foster home included older cats and a large cat-friendly dog. This handsome tabby has adapted well to life at MKC where he enjoys attention and purrs non-stop when petted. Kendric gets along well with the other kitty residents and he and Brandee are often mistaken for siblings. They would be a great pair to adopt together; Kendric should also adjust well in a home that already included other friendly pets.

Camelia
In Cabin
Birthdate: May 17, 2023
Camelia is the bravest and most independent of her group of 3 sisters. She is still a very cautious girl in new situations as well as with new people, but Camelia will likely lead the way in adapting and will help her sisters adjust at MKC. This pretty girl has beautiful solid grey fur. She enjoys playing with toys and loved watching the birds out the window in her foster home. She came to PCON at 7 weeks old with her feral mom cat and her two sisters, Gardenia & Hyacinth. They were all being fed outdoors and when PCON was contacted to help, the family was trapped and taken into fostercare. At 4 months of age Camelia and her sisters were moved to a separate foster home for further socializing. Camelia has come a long way but, at almost a year of age, it’s time for her to move forward towards the goal of finding a forever home. She loves both her sisters and got along well with adult cats in her foster home. Camelia will do best if adopted into a home which includes another kitty. She needs a calm and understanding adopter to let her adjust at her own pace and reveal her full personality in the security of a loving home.

Hyacinth
In Cabin
Birthdate: May 17, 2023
Hyacinth is a pretty grey tabby who is the shyest of her group of 3 sisters. They were born outdoors to a feral Mom cat and regularly fed by a lady who contacted PCON. The little family was trapped when the kittens were 7 weeks old and all were cared for together in a foster home. The sisters were later moved at 4 months of age to a second foster home for more socializing. Although Hyacinth does enjoy being petted, she still is reluctant when touched & does not seek attention. All 3 girls love their toys and most of all each other. Hyacinth and Gardenia are particularly close and often cuddle together. The sisters have been fully vetted and reached the stage where they need to meet more people and learn to feel safe in new environments. It will be a big adjustment for Hyacinth to get used to new people after having lived in a quiet home with her Foster mom. She would be happiest and adjust best if adopted into her forever home with one of her sisters and will need a calm, patient adopter.

Shawna
In Catio
Birthdate: August 31, 2023
Shawna is a sweet black kitten who came to our rescue in January after she was found badly injured & taken to an emergency clinic. Her injuries resulted in the loss of her eye but otherwise Shawna recovered fully. Having only one eye doesn’t slow Shawna down or interfere with her enjoyment of normal kitten activities. This sweet little girl has a huge personality and got along well with all the other kitties in her foster home. She liked to sleep cuddled with her foster mom while resting her head on the pillow. Shawna is all ready for adoption now and has come to MKC hoping to find a forever hone. Once she gets to know the other kitties Shawna will join them in the main areas at MKC. This sweetheart is a little doll and will be an amazing kitty companion for her lucky adopter. After surviving her ordeal at such a young age, Shawna needs to live the rest of her life in a safe and loving indoor home. A home without young children or dogs would be best suited to the sweetheart.

Leyka
Birthdate: July 11, 2023
This beautiful dark classic tabby is a cute & quirky girl. She’s cuddly & sweet one minute but can also be a drama Queen! Leyka is very chatty and will tell you what’s going on – even howling if she thinks another kitty is picking on her. But then after complaining, she’ll get right back into the game. Leyka can be a little feisty but it’s harmless. This energetic kitty loves to play with toys, her sister Essie, and show off her flexibility by rolling around on the cat tree. This classic tabby beauty was one of 9 kittens born in a PCON foster home to a stray cat who came to our rescue when very pregnant. Like their brother Radner, Leyka & Essie were diagnosed with a serious disease as younger kittens and received treatment for several months in a foster home which delayed their availability for adoption. Fortunately medication, as well as loving care, was the miracle needed to completely cure FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and now Leyka, as well as Essie and Radner, are all ready to find forever families. Leyka would love to be adopted with a friendly playmate into a family that can give her lots of time and attention. She is completely healthy and there is no risk to other pets or humans when adopting an FIP survivor. Leyka deserves to live and enjoy a normal healthy life with a loving family of her very own.

Essie
Birthdate: July 11, 2023
This petite girl with golden eyes and soft shiny black fur is sweet & cuddly. Essie is more laid-back than her sister Leyka and a little shyer in new situations. She was one of 9 kittens born in a PCON foster home to a stray cat who came to our rescue when very pregnant. Like her brother Radner & sister Leyka, Essie was diagnosed with a serious disease as a younger kitten and received treatment for several months in a foster home. This delayed Essie’s availability for adoption but fortunately there was a complete cure for the disease. New medication, as well as loving care, was the miracle needed to completely cure FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and now Essie is all ready to find a forever home. Essie would love to be adopted with a friendly playmate and she gets along well with her more outgoing sister Leyka. She will need to get reacquainted with her brother Radner as he was treated in a separate foster home from his sisters. Essie was used to living with adult cats as well as kittens and a small friendly dog, and she got along great with everyone. Essie is completely healthy and there is no risk to other pets or humans when adopting an FIP survivor. She deserves to live and enjoy a normal healthy life with a loving family of her very own.

Available to Meet at Foster Home

Boswell
Birthdate: September 15, 2022

Boswell, aka Boz, left My Kitty Cafe in 2023 to stay in a foster home while being treated for an inner ear infection. He’s totally recovered now and feeling better than ever and ready to meet potential adopters in his current Foster home in Guelph. Born as part of a large outdoor colony, Boz survived as a kitten through his first winter living outside, sheltering in unheated farm buildings, fed by the neighbourhood. Since coming into the care of Purrfect Companions, Boz has had obstacles to overcome in order to be ready for adoption. He has one sensitive eye that tends to water but this requires no medications or treatment. This special boy is so distinctive & unique looking with his curly tail & glossy charcoal grey and white coat of fur. He has so much more going for him than just good looks; Boswell is a very intelligent boy and the best companion kitty. He just seems to know what you need and is always ready to be there for you. Boz loves to snuggle & curl up on your lap but can also keep himself occupied for hours, looking out the window or playing with his ball tower toy. Boz is easy-going and gets along well with other kitties but is not dependent on kitty company. He is enjoying one-to-one attention in his foster home but this is just a temporary situation. This young adult boy has moved around enough since his rescue & now just needs to make one more final move, to his forever home.
