Here are our kitties at MKC all ready for adoption:
Sesame
Birthdate: April 7, 2024
Sesame has come such a long way from the terrified kitten rescued from the outdoors & brought into PCON fostercare. Naturally cautious in new situations, Sesame took a little time to adjust to the environment at MKC after leaving his foster home. Sesame now loves to be petted and gets along great with the other cats. Sesame has become much more confident and outgoing during his time at MKC. This handsome grey kitty absolutely LOVES his wet food and will follow you around and meow insistently when he thinks it’s overdue. Sesame is all ready for adoption now and will be happiest and settle in well if adopted with one of his kitty pals or into a home that includes an easy-going friendly kitty companion.

Shanna
Birthdate: April 7, 2024
This grey beauty was rescued from the outdoors in Port Dover where she and her mom and siblings were living under a deck in an area known for coyotes. Shanna was cared for in a foster home with her two brother kittens before coming to MKC. Although Shanna may appear aloof at times she is still just a little shy in a crowd. She gets along well with other kitties and has gradually adjusted to life at MKC. Shanna will come for pets from visitors but when she needs time on her own she likes to retreat to the high spots or the kitty privacy rooms at the cafe. In a calm, quiet home, with time to settle in, Shanna will trust you and begin to show her full personality. There is nothing quite so special as earning the love and devotion of a shy kitty.

Evanee
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: July 21, 2024
Evanee is a pretty black kitten with a fluffy white bib and white fur on her belly. Evanee was one of 7 three-month old kittens surrendered to our rescue with their mom cat. The kittens were initially cared for in our shelter then moved to a foster home while completing their vetting. Next came another move for more socializing to a 2nd foster home. Evanee & 2 of her siblings are now at MKC getting used to life in another very different environment. Once Evanee is comfortable, she will be happy to show off her sweet and affectionate personality. Evanee loves to make biscuits on a blanket or snuggle on your lap purring away. She’s a friendly & playful kitten who loves her food, her toys & her siblings and would be very happy to adopted with a sister or brother kitty.

Easton
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: July 21, 2024
Easton is a handsome boy with a patch of white fur on his chest as well as one white back paw. This helps to tell him apart from his sister Evanee. Easton is the outgoing leader of his litter; once he graduates from the Kitty Cabin to the main area at MKC Easton is bound to be crawling on laps, giving kisses and demanding attention. Found hanging around a store in Port Rowan with his mom and 6 siblings, Easton next lived in a kennel in our shelter until room was found at a foster home. Once their vet appointments were completed, Easton and the other kittens moved to a second foster home for more socializing time. Easton’s next stop after MKC needs to be at a forever home. He would be happy to be adopted with one of his siblings or another playful kitten.

Elmer
At Foster Home
Birthdate: July 21, 2024
This boy has all black fur except for a sprinkle of white chest hairs. Elmer is a sweet, quiet boy who initially would sit back at the edge of his sibling group and let his more demanding siblings steal all the attention. Since becoming comfortable in his foster home Elmer no longer hesitated to come for cuddles and pets. This sweet boy loves his siblings, playing with toys and sitting on the cat tree watching out the window. He’s feeling rather shy initially at MKC and needs a little time to adjust to another new environment. Elmer & his siblings have lived in several places since their surrender to Purrfect Companions cat rescue. The next move needs to be to a home and family where he can settle in forever. Elmer has finished all his vet appointments and, once ready to meet potential adopters at MKC, he will be a lovely boy to adopt with one of his siblings or another kitty playmate.

Emmie
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: July 21, 2024
Emmie is the sweetest little all black kitten. With her little round face and smaller ears, she looks like a tiny black bear cub. Emmie is very affectionate and has a habit of nibbling on toes & fingers which is just an effort to keep your attention focused on her. Emmie was surrendered to PCON with 6 other siblings as well as her mom cat. It was hard for any of the kittens to get enough attention initially as they all shared a shelter kennel until room in a foster home was found. After vet appointments were completed, Emmie & her siblings moved to a second foster home for more socializing. Emmie has needed a little adjustment time at MKC to get used to a much busier environment. She and her siblings are watching all the activity from the Kitty cabin at MKC but will soon be joining other kitties in the main area. When she’s ready to meet potential adopters, this little beauty will steal your heart. Emmie will be happiest and adjust more easily if adopted with one of her siblings.

Birthday: September 28, 2024
Hersh and his brother Hoyle were found at a month of age on Main St. in Courtland with no mom cat. They were surrendered to Purrfect Companions Cat Rescue and cared for in a foster home. Hersh has finished all his vet appointments now and is ready for adoption. Once he’s adjusted to the new environment at MKC he will soon be ready to join the other kitties in the main cat lounge. Vyncent
In Cottage
Birthdate: October 1, 2024
Although Vyncent likes to be petted, he is still a little shy. He enjoyed the company of the adult cats in his foster home and liked to wrestle with his Foster brothers Hersh & Hoyle. He also likes to play with spring toys and loves his wet food. Vyncent was found outdoors as a solo stray kitten at just over a month of age. He was brought to PCON and cared for in a foster home with two other stray rescue kittens, Hersh & Hoyle. Vyncent’s tail was injured prior to his rescue and it was uncertain initially whether this would require surgery. It’s no longer causing him any pain or discomfort and the vet has given Vyncent a clean bill of health and declared him ready for adoption. Vyncent has been used to living in a quiet foster home and will need time to become comfortable at MKC where there are more people and a busier routine.

Flounder
Adoption Applications Closed
Although Flounder was almost pure white when born, his Siamese seal-point ancestry is now obvious. As young kittens both Flounder and his brother Diver struggled a lot with mobility issues. They were born with a condition known as Swimmers syndrome but with early intervention, they have both been able to overcome this. Flounder loves playing, sleeping, cuddling with his brother Diver and never wants to be far from him. Flounder enjoys being petted and is very talkative when he wants his wet food! Flounder likes to be picked up and cuddled and even enjoys belly rubs. The two brothers are currently being fostered in a family home in Guelph and are available for adoption. These kittens had a rough start in life and have gone through all their experiences together. They have developed a special bond and must be adopted as a pair. Wistful
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: May 29, 2023
Wistful is a big personality in a petite silky package. Initially skittish, once she trusts you, this pretty young adult tortie will trill and mrrp at you, demanding pets. Wistful loves toys that squeak or crinkle, her favorite being her little teddy bear that she likes to bite and carry around with her. She enjoys catnip, staring out of windows at squirrels, and hiding under blankets.
Wistful gave birth to 4 kittens in a PCON foster home after being found pregnant outdoors. It was a difficult birth and only two of Wistful’s babies survived. Despite this sad start to life as a rescue, Wistful settled into her foster home and was a patient and gentle mom to her kittens, Diver & Flounder. A very quiet kitty who is naturally timid with new people, underneath her shy exterior Wistful is a very affectionate and loving girl who enjoys attention. She got along well with all the other cats in her first foster home and is now enjoying one-to-one attention as the solo kitty in her current foster home in Guelph. This beautiful young adult girl is well-suited to a quiet, calm home and will be a lovely kitty companion to the special person she chooses. Wistful could be happy and content as a solo pet or adjust to other calm & gentle kitties in her home. Contact PCON if you are interested in a Meet & Greet with Wistful for possible adoption.

Rayne
Birthdate: 2020
FIV+
Look at this gorgeous black panther! Rayne is an exquisite, black kitty with bright, shiny green eyes. She loves attention and especially head butts! Rayne loves her morning treat of wet food but always asks for pets first. She entertains herself with her favorite catnip toys but will come running for pets and reward you with her constant purr. She currently lives in a quiet foster home where Rayne enjoys time on her own or with her people. She was adopted with her sister as a bonded pair of kittens in 2021 and returned last year to our shelter due to urgent medical care needed and not provided by her adopters. Her sister passed away but Rayne recovered her health after the necessary dental surgery was provided by PCON. This adult girl tested positive as a kitten for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). As long as she is kept as an indoor cat and provided with healthy food and regular vet care, Rayne can enjoy a happy life just like any other kitty. Rayne can be adopted as a solo kitty or can safely live with non-FIV kitties without any risk to them, as long as there is no violent aggressive fighting. Rayne is a healthy, happy cat, ready for adoption into a home where she will be given all the love and care she deserves, for the rest of her life. If you would like to meet Rayne for possible adoption, complete the PCON Adoption Application, requesting a Meet & Greet with Rayne.
