Here are our kitties at MKC all ready for adoption:

Camelia
Birthdate: May 17, 2023
This pretty girl with solid blue/grey fur enjoys playing with toys, other kitties and watching bird videos on TV. Camelia came to PCON at 7 weeks old with her feral mom cat and her two sisters, Gardenia (now adopted) & Hyacinth (in a foster home). They were all being fed outdoors and when PCON was contacted to help, the family was trapped and taken into fostercare. At 4 months of age the 3 kittens were moved to a separate foster home for further socializing and feral mom was TNR’d back to be cared for outdoors. Camelia has come a long way since her arrival at MKC but is still often cautious. If calmly approached she will show how much she enjoys pets and attention now. Camelia is a curious girl, interested in whatever is going on around her and has benefitted from spending time with friendly, playful kitties while at MKC. She needs to be with playful social cats in her forever home. With a calm, patient and understanding adopter to let Camelia adjust at her own pace, she will reveal her affectionate & sweet personality. Camelia will be an amazing addition to her forever home.

Quainte

In Catio

Birthdate: March 15, 2021
This pretty adult tabby girl has beautiful marble markings on her sides. Quainte was found as a pregnant stray in Port Rowan in March of 2023 and surrendered to PCON. Three weeks later she gave birth to 6 kittens in her foster home. Quainte was a wonderful mom to her babies and, with the help of her foster parent, raised them all until they were old enough for adoption last year. Momma Quainte has continued to live with her foster mom where this shy girl enjoys looking out the window, playing with catnip toys and chasing little springs. Quainte gets along with the foster homes’ two cats and enjoys pets from people she knows, but still needs time to feel comfortable in new situations. Quainte will be a wonderful pet in a calm and quiet home, once given time to trust and adjust at her own pace.

Leyka
Adaption Applications Closed
Birthdate: July 11, 2023
This dark classic tabby is a beauty with a cute and quirky personality. Leyka is cuddly & sweet one minute and will curl up on your lap to snuggle but then will suddenly race off on an adventure. She is a very chatty girl and quite assertive when meeting new kitties, but adjusts quickly. Leyka loves playing with toys, her sister Essie & the other kitty residents at MKC. She shows off her flexibility by rolling around on the cat tree looking at you upside down & also enjoys quiet times, watching bird videos or cuddling on a couch. This petite beauty was one of 9 kittens born in a PCON foster home to a stray cat, rescued when very pregnant. Like her brother Radner (adopted) & sister Essie, Leyka required treatment in her foster home for a virus and this delayed her availability for adoption by several months. Now Leyka is all ready to find a forever family and is very compatible with her sister Essie or would adapt to a home which includes another playful young kitty. Leyka is a busy girl and needs a family that can give her lots of time and attention; she enjoys the company of older children. Leyka is more than ready for a loving family to offer her a forever home.

Essie
Birthdate: July 11, 2023
This petite girl with golden eyes and soft shiny black fur is calm and sweet. Although she was shy initially at MKC, Essie now feels very much at home and enjoys playing with the other kitties & spending time with visitors. She was one of 9 kittens born in a PCON foster home. She and her brother Radner (adopted) and sister Leyka, required treatment for a virus which delayed their availability for adoption for several months. Now Essie is all ready to find a forever home and would be happy to continue living with her sister Leyka or another friendly kitty. Essie has been used to a foster home with adult cats as well as kittens and a small friendly dog, and she got along with everyone. Essie is completely healthy now and deserves to enjoy a normal life with a loving family of her very own.

Casper
In Cabin
Birthdate: July 18, 2023
When Casper was rescued by Purrfect Companions as a young kitten, he came with badly infected eyes. After recovering with the help of his foster mom, we’re not really certain how much his vision has been affected. His eyes have a cloudy appearance but Casper can chase a toy around at top speed & climbs up & down the cat trees in the Kitty Cabin with no issues. He has adapted so well, and manages to do everything a young cat needs to do. Casper also arrived at our rescue with a sweet and affectionate personality and that has never changed; he’s just such a happy, good-natured boy. Casper enjoys welcoming visitors into the Kitty Cabin room at MKC where he has views of the entrance, the store and the main area. Casper would be very happy to view the outdoors from a window in his forever home whether that’s in a house or apartment. Casper has settled in well at MKC and will roll around on the floor, or climb onto your lap when he’s not chasing a toy to entertain his visitors in the Kitty Cabin. With his white fur and tan accents, Casper is a mix of domestic short hair & Sealpoint Siamese. This sweet and beautiful boy is ready for a forever family and will be a perfect companion pet in a quiet home.

Bari
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: May 14, 2023
Bari is a handsome orange and white boy just a little over a year old. He is a loving and affectionate boy with a very calm, easy-going personality. Bari and his brother Welling were left behind outdoors when their owner moved out of a rental home. As kittens, the brothers survived through last winter thanks to kind neighbours feeding them until they were able to be surrendered to PCON in May. Bari shared a kennel with Welling in the shelter where the two friendly boys were soon volunteer favourites. Obviously very bonded, Bari and Welling were usually snuggled up in a bed together in their kennel but always eager to seek pets & attention from shelter cleaners. Now all finished his vet appointments, Bari has come to MKC to have fun while he & Welling wait for their double adoption. These two boys have survived a difficult start in life and need to stay together, safely indoors & cared for by their forever family.

Welling
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: May 14, 2023
This distinguished looking young tuxedo boy is friendly and curious. When their owners moved out of a rental home & left two kittens behind last December, the kittens were cared for by kind people in the neighborhood. Bari and Welling were then surrendered to our PCON shelter in May, where they both lived in one kennel. Often seen snuggling together, it was evident to shelter volunteers that the two brothers were very bonded companions. Welling has finished all his vet appointments and has come to MKC to have fun while he and Bari find their forever family. These two boys have shared very difficult experiences in their young lives and need to be adopted together to share a happy & safe future ahead.

Gazoo
In Cottage
Birthdate: March 21, 2024
From the top of his fluffy head to the tip of his crooked tail, this cutie has all the boxes checked on what will make someone fall in love with him. Gazoo likes to romp around with the other kittens, really enjoys Greenies dental treats and, when he gets tired he has been known to literally flop over into a deep purrful sleep. Like his brothers Gazel & Gazet, Gazoo is a curious boy who wants to check out whatever you are doing and is always up for playing with wand toys or chasing any toy that rolls. This sweet & affectionate kitten is totally trusting of people after being hand-raised since his rescue at 3 weeks of age. Gazoo was used to living with other kittens as well as adult cats in his foster home and needs to have a kitty companion as part of his forever family. Ideally, he will be adopted with a brother or go to a home that already has a friendly kitty, eager for a playmate.

Gazel
In Cottage
Birthdate: March 21, 2024
With his cute little moustache and super loud purr, this fluffy tuxedo kitten has rapidly stolen the hearts of everyone who has met him. Gazel has a great personality, is curious about everything people do, and is always ready to play until he pretty much falls over in the first warm lap he finds. Gazel is quick to respond to both thrown and waved toys, he has great fun playing in tunnel toys with his brothers, and loves to chase electronic rolling toys. Gazel was rescued at 3 weeks of age and hand-raised by his foster family. He and his brothers all learned love and trust people completely. Gazel will be a perfect pet for a lucky family and would love to have a friendly kitty playmate in his forever home. A double adoption with a brother (or triple?) would be ideal, but Gazel would also likely adjust quickly to a new kitty friend.

Gazet
In Cottage
Birthdate: March 21, 2024
This fluffy little guy is quite the character. Gazet likes to choose a favourite toy but only for a short time and then he moves on to his next favourite one. But while a toy is the current object of his affection, he will hold onto it for dear life while making the cutest growlly noises. Like his brothers Gazoo & Gazel, Gazet is a cuddly and adventurous little dude. He will follow you around trying to get involved in whatever you are doing. When he starts to get tired, Gazet will find the nearest basket or lap and crash. Found outdoors at the age of 3 weeks, Gazet and his brothers were hand-fed initially and cared for round-the-clock by their foster family. Gazet is very trusting & affectionate with people and needs to continue to receive all the loving care and attention he deserves from his forever family. Such a social kitty should be adopted into a home where he will continue to have a kitty playmate to keep him active & happy.
