Bermuda

Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: May 3, 2024

Bermuda, with his cute little  moustache, has the typical orange boy personality.  An affectionate, easy-going purr machine, who loves being petted, he is also very vocal and will tell you what’s on his mind.  Bermuda can be a little mischievous and will keep you amused with his antics.  Bermuda was one of 5 kittens born to a PCON rescue named MamaMitty.  His mom and siblings have all recently been adopted at MKC and now it’s Bermuda’s turn to find a home and family of his own.  This friendly fellow gets along great with other kitties as well as people of all ages and was used to an older easy-going dog in his foster home.  Bermuda is waiting patiently at MKC and will be a wonderful addition to his forever family home.

Sesame

Birthdate: April 7, 2024
Sesame is a little more timid than his siblings, Simax & Shanna, but he is equally as sweet.  This shy boy has come such a long way from the terrified kitten rescued from the outdoors & brought into PCON fostercare.  It is taking a little time for Sesame to adjust to his new environment at MKC.   Sesame loves to be petted once he knows you and gets along well with other cats.  Spending time with more outgoing kitties at MKC should help his confidence.  He loves his wet food and will meow insistently when he thinks it’s overdue. Sesame needs to be adopted by someone who will be sensitive to the needs of a shy guy and willing to help him adjust.  Sesame will be happiest  living in a home that includes friendly kitty companions.

Shanna

Birthdate: April 7, 2024
Shanna was rescued from the outdoors in Port Dover where she & her mom & siblings had been  discovered living under a deck.  Three kittens & their pregnant mom cat, who were at risk from coyotes in the area, were surrendered to PCON.   Shanna has been cared for in a foster home with her two brother kittens while preparing for adoption.  All three kittens love to play with spring toys and each other.  Although Shanna can be shy with new people, she has recently graduated into the main areas at MKC and is enjoying the company of all the other kitties.   Shanna is finished her vetting and needs a loving, safe, indoor home that includes one or more other kitty playmates.

Simax
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: April 7, 2024
This adorable goof-ball looks a little clumsy when he runs because Simax is a CH kitten, which stands for Cerebellar Hypoplasia, also known as “wobbly kitten” syndrome. This is a neurological condition which affects control of his back legs. When developing in the womb, Simax was affected by a virus caught by his pregnant mom. This friendly boy is the most outgoing of his siblings; he loves pets and will come meowing to ask for them. This sweetheart loves to snuggle with his blanket, climb the cat tree, play with his siblings and cuddle on laps. Being a CH kitten doesn’t slow Simax down, cause him any pain or require any special medication or treatment. All he needs is a loving family who will provide a safe indoor home which incudes another kitty friend.

Kayla started her life as a barn kitten and from there she was surrendered to Purrfect Companions Cat Rescue.  Kayla enjoyed life in her foster home with her siblings and, now that her vetting is completed, she is all ready for adoption.  This outgoing girl is the first in her group to greet you and say hi.  She loves to get lots of pets and snuggles and can spend hours happily cradled in her humans’ arms.  Kayla recently developed a very loud purr;  her “motor” gets going non-stop whenever she is being petted. Kayla is the social butterfly of her siblings, quickly making new friends with other kitties.  Like any young kitten, Kayla needs the companionship of another kitty playmate in her forever home.

Komako

Birthdate: May 26, 2024

Komako and her siblings began life as barn kittens and Purrfect Companions Rescue was contacted to help when a Mom cat was not found.  In her PCON foster home, Komako grew into a healthy active girl who is now ready for adoption.  This very curious kitty loves to be petted and held by her humans.   She’s always the first of her siblings to figure out anything new and enjoys the challenge of puzzle toys.  Komako loves playtime with her brothers and sister, particularly with her favourite wand & string toys.  This very vocal girl will give you lots of head buts to get your attention and let you know when she wants affection.  She would be happiest adopted with a sibling or into a home with another friendly kitty ready to be a playmate.

Lakia

At a Foster Home

Birthdate: August 26, 2023
Her name means Lucky in Hungarian and this little girl was very lucky to have been rescued from outdoors and cared for in our PCON foster program.  Lakia is a lovely young adult dilute tortie with soft colours & beautiful markings.  She & her siblings were rescued last October when found hanging around a lady’s yard without a mama cat.  Lakia was initially very shy & needed more socializing time than her more outgoing sister & brother, Leeza & Lajos, both previously adopted at MKC.  Now that she’s learned to trust, Lakia is a very cuddly and affectionate girl who loves to climb cat trees & race around after her toys & other kitties.  She’s become a total lap cat who loves to snuggle and purr away, showing her belly or kneading your lap.  Lakia gets along well with all the kitties at MKC and the younger shy kittens are drawn to her gentle peaceful nature.  Lakia is a very loyal, affectionate & playful kitty with so much love to give her lucky adopter.

Buzz & Ringo

Birthdate:  7 years old

These bonded brothers are purebred cream/pink Sphynx cats.   When the pair came to our rescue in May 2020 they had not been socialized and were both very frightened and unsure.  Their foster mom worked very patiently with them to help the cats learn to trust and they have gradually become more comfortable and learned to accept and enjoy attention.  The brothers now come for pets and can be picked up for short periods but are not really cuddlers.  They will sit beside you or on you and even roll over on their backs for tummy rubs.  Buzz especially enjoys his tummy being petted & there’s lots of tummy to pet!  He is obese and came that way to PCON.  His brother Ringo is skinny and has a bad eye which may need to be removed in the future.  They like to play with interactive toys and sit on their cat tree by the window and bask in the sun.  A patient home where they will be given time to adjust at their own pace is needed for Buzz & Ringo who are bonded and must remain together.  They get along with other cats as well as dogs in their foster home but mostly like to spend time together on their own.  Sphinx cats require regular washing of their skin to remove oil and cleaning of their ears & nails.  These boys are in urgent need of a foster home as their current foster mom is soon moving out of the country to continue her education abroad.  If you think you could provide a home for this pair please contact Purrfect Companions Cat Rescue immediately!  This could be a foster or foster-to-adopt arrangement.

Rayne
Birthdate: 2020

FIV+

Look at this gorgeous  black panther!  Rayne is an exquisite, black kitty with bright, shiny green eyes.  She loves attention and especially head butts!  Rayne loves her morning treat of wet food but always asks for pets first.  She entertains herself with her favorite catnip toys but will come running for pets and reward you with her constant purr.  She currently lives in a quiet foster home where Rayne enjoys time on her own or with her people.  She was adopted with her sister as a bonded pair of kittens in 2021 and returned last year to our shelter due to urgent medical care needed and not provided by her adopters.  Her sister passed away but Rayne recovered her health after the necessary dental surgery was provided by PCON.  This adult girl tested positive as a kitten for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  As long as she is kept as an indoor cat and provided with healthy food and regular vet care, Rayne can enjoy a happy life just like any other kitty.  Rayne can be adopted  as a solo kitty or can safely live with non-FIV kitties without any risk to them, as long as there is no violent aggressive fighting.  Rayne is a healthy, happy cat, ready for adoption into a home where she will be given all the love and care she deserves, for the rest of her life.  If you would like to meet Rayne for possible adoption, complete the PCON Adoption Application, requesting a Meet & Greet with Rayne.
