Here are our kitties at MKC all ready for adoption:

Camelia
Birthdate: May 17, 2023
Camelia is braver and more independent than her sister Hyacinth but is still very cautious in new situations. This pretty girl enjoys playing with toys and loved watching the birds out the window in her foster home. She came to PCON at 7 weeks old with her feral mom cat and her two sisters, Gardenia (now adopted) & Hyacinth. They were all being fed outdoors and when PCON was contacted to help, the family was trapped and taken into fostercare. At 4 months of age the kittens were moved to a separate foster home for further socializing. Camelia has come a long way and at almost a year of age, it’s time for her to move forward towards the goal of finding a forever home. Camelia is a curious girl, interested in whatever is going on around her and would likely learn to adapt faster if adopted into a home that included friendly, social kitties. She needs a calm understanding family to let her adjust at her own pace and reveal her full personality in the security of a loving home.

Hyacinth
Birthdate: May 17, 2023
Hyacinth is a pretty grey tabby who is shyer & more cautious than her sister Camelia. They were born outdoors to a feral Mom cat and regularly fed by a lady who contacted PCON. The little family was trapped when the kittens were 7 weeks old and all were cared for together in a foster home. The sisters were later moved at 4 months of age to a second foster home for more socializing. Although Hyacinth does enjoy being petted when she knows you, she is reluctant to seek attention. The sisters have been fully vetted and have reached the stage where they need to meet more people and learn to feel safe in new environments. It is a big adjustment for Hyacinth to get used to people at MKC after having lived in a quiet home with her Foster mom. She will need time to adjust when she is adopted and requires a calm home with a patient, understanding adopter.

Leyka
Birthdate: July 11, 2023
This beautiful dark classic tabby is a cute & quirky girl. She’s cuddly & sweet one minute but can also be a drama Queen! Leyka is very chatty and can be a little feisty but it’s harmless. This energetic kitty loves to play with toys, her sister Essie, and show off her flexibility by rolling around on the cat tree. This classic tabby beauty was one of 9 kittens born in a PCON foster home to a stray cat who came to our rescue when very pregnant. Like their brother Radner (adopted), Leyka & Essie were diagnosed with a serious disease as younger kittens and received treatment for several months in a foster home which delayed their availability for adoption. Fortunately medication, as well as loving care, was the miracle needed to completely cure FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and now Leyka is all ready to find a forever family. Leyka would love to be adopted with a friendly playmate into a family that can give her lots of time and attention. She is completely healthy and there is no risk to other pets or humans when adopting an FIP survivor. Leyka deserves to live and enjoy a normal healthy life with a loving family of her very own.

Essie
Adoption Applications Closed
Birthdate: July 11, 2023
This petite girl with golden eyes and soft shiny black fur is sweet & cuddly. Essie is more laid-back than her sister Leyka and a little shyer in new situations.  She was one of 9 kittens born in a PCON foster home to a stray cat who came to our rescue when very pregnant. Like her brother Radner (adopted) & sister Leyka, Essie was diagnosed with a serious disease as a younger kitten and received treatment for several months in a foster home. This delayed Essie’s availability for adoption but fortunately there was a complete cure for the disease. New medication, as well as loving care, was the miracle needed to completely cure FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and now Essie is all ready to find a forever home. Essie would love to be adopted with a friendly playmate and she gets along well with her more outgoing sister Leyka. Essie has been used to living with adult cats as well as kittens and a small friendly dog, and she got along great with everyone. Essie is completely healthy and there is no risk to other pets or humans when adopting an FIP survivor. She deserves to live and enjoy a normal healthy life with a loving family of her very own.

Genny
Birthdate: July 3, 2023
Genny ( who knows her name as Marg) is a beautiful Torbie that was rescued from a large colony of cats and has been cared for in a PCON foster home. Genny had a very difficult start in life and obstacles to overcome before she could be ready for adoption. Although healthy now, when she purrs non-stop she can have an issue with swallowing properly. This can happen only when she’s really excited and purring hard and it doesn’t stop her from playing non-stop. This very friendly and social girl has a beautiful tabby coat with hints of orange. Genny is not only lovely in appearance but has the sweetest personality. This young girl craves attention and loves to give head butts on your face. She will curl up on your chest to sleep and, what makes her even more adorable, is her little canines poke out, earning her the nickname of “little bat girl”. Genny was fostered with Caylee, another kitten from the same colony and these foster sisters are very good company for each other. Both girls have come to MKC together, hoping to meet just the right forever family soon.

Caylee
Birthdate: June 12, 2023
Caylee is a beautiful “teen” kitten who is mostly white with black fur markings as well as a cute little black heart stamp on her paw. Along with more than 60 others, Caylee was rescued from a large colony of cats in Norfolk county this past year. She has been cared for in a PCON foster home with another from the colony and now both Caylee and her foster sister Genny are at MKC together, ready for adoption. Despite a very difficult start in life, both of these little sweethearts are incredibly friendly & very social. Caylee is a sweet and affectionate girl that seeks out attention and loves to play with her toys. She would be very happy and adjust easily if she is able to find a forever home together with Genny.

Medusa
Birthdate: May 1, 2023
Medusa is a young calico girl with lovely & unusual markings as well as strikingly beautiful eyes! As a Momma with 4 young kittens, Medusa was rescued by a concerned person when the owner threatened to leave all the kitties outside in an area known for coyotes. Medusa’s rescuer eventually surrendered the family to PCON where their care was continued in a foster home. This sweet girl, who loves chin scratches, was an excellent mama to her kittens despite giving birth while still just a kitten herself. Now it’s time for Medusa to relax and have fun and enjoy life at MKC while waiting to find her own forever family. Medusa is starting out by observing her new environment from the catio at MKC before joining other kitties and visitors in the main areas.

Available to Meet at Foster Home

Boswell
Birthdate: September 15, 2022
Boswell, aka Boz, left My Kitty Cafe in 2023 to stay in a foster home while being treated for an inner ear infection. He’s totally recovered now and feeling better than ever and ready to meet potential adopters in his current Foster home in Guelph. Born as part of a large outdoor colony, Boz survived as a kitten through his first winter living outside, sheltering in unheated farm buildings, fed by the neighbourhood. Since coming into the care of Purrfect Companions, Boz has had obstacles to overcome in order to be ready for adoption. He has one sensitive eye that tends to water but this requires no medications or treatment. This special boy is so distinctive & unique looking with his curly tail & glossy charcoal grey and white coat of fur. He has so much more going for him than just good looks; Boswell is a very intelligent young boy and the best companion kitty. He just seems to know what you need and is always ready to be there for you. Boz loves to snuggle & curl up on your lap but can also keep himself occupied for hours, looking out the window or playing with his ball tower toy. Boz lived peacefully with other kitties in his previous foster home as well as during his time at MKC. However, since being fostered as a solo pet, we can see that Boz flourishes when the focus is on human companionship. This young adult boy has moved around enough since his rescue & now just needs to make one more final move, to his forever home.
