My Kitty Cafe has successfully partnered with Purrfect Companions of Norfolk Cat Rescue since February 2016. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun-filled environment for adoptable rescue cats to find their furrever families.

Here are our kitties at MKC all ready for adoption:

Queena

Birthdate: December 14, 2020
This pretty girl has classic tortoiseshell colours with some patches of white. Quirky & sweet, Queena loves short cuddle periods and non-stop pets. She’s skittish about being placed on your lap and prefers to find her own spot near you in a cat tree or on a kitchen chair. Queena gets along well with other cats but she’s a pretty independent kitty who peacefully goes her own way.
Queena was surrendered in December 2021 as a single adult stray found outdoors. She has been living in a quiet foster home since her surrender and it’s bound to be a big adjustment for her to get used to the busy atmosphere at MKC. Queena really needs to find her own special person to give her companionship and love in a forever home of her own. A quiet & calm approach will help interested adopters get to know this beauty to see if Queena might be that special kitty who is meant to come home with you.

Mohawk

Birthdate: July 14, 2021
Mohawk is a very pretty black and white cat who is sister to Cayuga. These bonded girls have lived together since their beginnings in an outdoor colony of kitties and they must be adopted as a pair. Mohawk is the more outgoing of the two but she was very shy and frightened when initially rescued and taken into PCON foster care. With the patience of her foster families Mohawk gradually relaxed and showed herself to be a very affectionate girl who loves to be petted and enjoys curling up on your lap for cuddles. This sweet and quirky kitty is full of energy when she plays. She loves to spend time with her sister and her toys and enjoys using a Horizontal scratching post. There will be an adjustment time for Mohawk at MKC to get used to new kitties and the busy atmosphere as well as a different routine. Once Mohawk and Cayuga meet their perfect match the adopter should be prepared to let this pair of kitties adapt at their own pace to life in their forever home. The rewards for your patience and love will be immeasurable.

Cayuga

Birthdate: July 14, 2021
This black beauty has a little patch of white on her chest and very shiny fur. Cayuga and her sister Mohawk are a bonded pair who have come to MKC looking for a forever home together. These girls were part of an outdoor colony of cats rescued in November 2021. Although Cayuga was the tiniest of the group she made up for it with her strong personality. Cayuga was determined to have nothing to do with the humans in her foster home initially. Eventually this little protector learned to very gradually trust her caregivers and her hisses transformed to purrs. It’s been a slow process but with the socializing received from 3 different foster moms Cayuga and her sister Mohawk are now ready for adoption. They have followed two brother kitties who previously were adopted at MKC, Oneida & Tuscarora (Rory). Cayuga will be shy at first with all the new people to meet at MKC but once she builds trust she enjoys being petted. Cayuga can be cautious around other cats (other than Mohawk) and will have to get to know all the other resident kitties gradually. In her foster home she enjoyed sleeping on the highest level of a cat tree, or on a blanket on the back of a couch. Cayuga likes to use a vertical sisal scratch post.
Cayuga and Mohawk will be a wonderful pair of pets for a patient kitty-loving adopter. Coming to My Kitty Cafe for this last step of her journey to adoption is bound to be a challenge for Cayuga. However she is a survivor and has adapted so far to many changes in her living situation. I’m confident with patience and understanding this kitty will show her true potential as a loving companion once she and her sister have met their perfect match at MKC.

Daigle
Birthdate: September 13, 2022
Daigle is a confident boy, curious and eager to explore in any new environment. This energetic kitty enjoys racing around with other kittens & likes to hide in a tunnel and jump out to scare them. His easy-going personality lets him adapt quickly to newcomers and he soon makes friends with people as well as other kitties. Daigle and his sister were surrendered to PCON after their mom kitty was hit by a car and killed. Her babies were found under a shed and one kitten had already passed. Only a month old when rescued, Daigle was raised with several other kittens in a foster home. He arrived at MKC with all of them and, although Daigle has been a very popular boy here, he’s the last of his foster group to find a home! Daigle enjoys cuddling with visitors as well as playing with the other kittens. He would love to have another kitty as part of his forever family and would be a good choice for a family with a young kitty in need of a friend. Or if you are looking to adopt two, Daigle gets long well with all of the other kitties at MKC and would be perfect paired with another.

Orka
In Cabin
Birthdate: August 2, 2022
This pretty little black panther is a stunning kitty, sweet and gentle. She is an affectionate girl who loves to gently nibble on the ends of your fingers when you are petting her. This kitty tends to be quiet in new situations and is feeling shy at MKC in a new place and with so many strangers to meet. Orka was born in a PCON foster home to a friendly stray mom kitty who came into our rescue with her older kittens. We soon discovered mom was already pregnant with another litter. Orka has been fostered in a loving & safe home and she’s now at MKC all ready to find her forever family. Orka has been waiting for her brother Strydor to have finally finished his vet appointments so that they could come to MKC together. Their sister Randora has also come to MKC with them. Siblings adjust more easily when adopted together so a lucky family could choose two (or even a trio!) of these lovely kittens. If not with a sibling, Orka would be happy to have a another friendly kitty companion in her forever family. She would be best suited to a quiet and calm forever home.

Strydor
In Cabin
Birthdate: August 2, 2022
This handsome tabby was the only boy in his litter born in a PCON foster home. His mom cat came into our rescue with two older kittens and then it was discovered that she was already pregnant with another litter. Strydor has been living a happy indoor life in his foster home with his siblings and his mom cat; he’s finally finished his vetting and now all ready for adoption. Strydor is at MKC with two of his sisters, Orka & Randora and they they are getting adjusted to their new environment together. Strydor is feeling understandably shy right now at MKC but hopefully he will soon feel comfortable & show his playful personality. His foster mom described him as a silly and loveable goofball
who loves to play and will flop down on his side for belly rubs. If Strydor has another kitty in his forever home then I’m sure he would adapt more quickly and be a wonderful addition to any family. We hope he doesn’t have to wait too long to find his perfect match while at MKC.

Randora
In Cabin
Birthdate: August 2, 2022
Randora is a pretty tabby girl who is at MKC with two of her siblings, her brother Styrdor & her sister Orka. If you notice a little wobble in Randora’s walk don’t worry because it doesn’t slow this girl down or keep her from playing with her brother & sister. She is a very healthy girl now but her wobble is a result of a nasty virus she had as a young kitten. She has adapted well and races around and plays like any other kitten. Randora was born in a Purrfect Companions foster home to a mom kitty that had been rescued with two older kittens – and it was discovered mom was ready to give birth again. Randora may be feeling a little shy initially at MKC but that’s understandable as she’s been used to living in a quiet foster home. She is a sweet and playful girl who loves belly rubs and playing with her toys and other kittens. Randora will make a wonderful pet in the right home and would adjust faster and be happiest if adopted as a pair with one of her siblings or with another kitty in her home.

Giselle
Birthdate: September 20, 2022
This pretty tabby is an extra special kitty in many ways. She happens to be a polydactyl with extra toes on her paws that makes it looks like she’s wearing mittens. She is also an orphan who was rescued after being found in a backyard on her own. Giselle was taken into PCON fostercare and 5 days later her sister Gillian was also found. They were only 5-6 weeks old when their mom cat moved her babies and sadly two were left behind. After being raised in a loving foster home, Giselle is now a playful and affectionate girl who gives kisses and loves to crawl into your lap for extra attention and cuddles. She plays well with her sister Gillian and other kitties but also likes to sit quietly and observe at times. Giselle has lived in a home which included other kittens, adult cats and a dog. She is now all ready for adoption and has come to MKC to find her forever home with her “twin”Gillian. These girls have a special bond and need to be adopted together. They are an ideal pair of kittens for the right family.

Gillian
Birthdate: September 20, 2022
This pretty tabby is twin to her sister Giselle but if you look at their feet it’s easy to tell them apart. Unlike her polydactyl sibling, Gillian has the usual number of toes on all her paws. This doesn’t mean she moves any slower; Gillian is an active kitty who will race around at full speed playing with her toys or other kitties. When tired, she loves to snuggle in a soft blanket with her sister. Affectionate and friendly, Gillian enjoys attention and will cuddle on your lap and reward you with purrs when petted. She was used to visitors in her foster home and very fond of the family’s laid-back dog. Gillian has no fear of canines as a result & any dogs need to be monitored with caution around her. Gillian was found outdoors in a yard at less than 6 weeks of age and taken to a foster home 5 days later than her sister. Since that time they have not been separated and have enjoyed playing with other cats and kittens as well as each other. Gillian & Giselle are an ideal pair of kittens to be adopted together and are at MKC looking for their perfect family. Each sister needs to be wanted and appreciated as an individual as well as part of a perfect bonded pair.

Frito
In Cottage
Birthdate: July 22, 2022
Frito is the lone boy in his group of orange kitties and was a challenge for his foster mom to socialize initially. Born in a garage to a stray mom and eventually surrendered by the property owner to PCON, Frito spent a week at the shelter and was then neutered before going to a foster home to join his sisters. After almost a month with the foster mom and her daughter he turned around and now loves being petted and comes looking for attention. Frito had a very rough start in life but has learned to enjoy being a happy & well cared for indoor pet. He would do well if adopted with one of his sisters to be lifelong companions together in their forever home. MKC is a big step for any kitty on their way to adoption. Hopefully Frito and the ginger girls adapt to their new environment well so that potential adopters can see and appreciate each one’s wonderful personality.

Fajita
In Cottage
Birthdate: July 22, 2022
Fajita is one of a group of orange ginger kitties that were surrendered to Purrfect Companions last December. Their mom cat was believed to have been dropped off on a property when pregnant & she gave birth to her 4 kittens in a garage. The owner cared for them initially before they came to a foster home at 5 months of age. Fajita was very frightened initially but within two weeks she was head-butting her foster mom’s hand and rubbing up against her for pets. All the siblings seem to gravitate towards this very affectionate loving girl. Fajita has a small circular little bald spot on her right ear but this beautiful & unusual orange tabby girl will be a wonderful pet for her lucky adopter. Any of her siblings would be happy to be adopted with Fajita and it would help them both to have a familiar kitty companion on this next step of their journey.

Velveeta
In Cottage

Birthdate: July 22, 2022
Lovely Velveeta is one of our orange beauties and she has the calmest personality of her group. Although Velveeta loves to play with her siblings, she is just as happy curled up beside her foster mom on the couch. One of 4 kittens born to a stray mom cat, she was cared for in a garage until surrendered to PCON. This sweet girl has the funniest little meow; it sounds very breathy, almost like she has laryngitis. Although a little skittish initially, Velveeta was already fairly friendly when she came into fostercare. She’s been given lots of loving attention while fostered and has benefitted from living in a safe & loving home. Coming to My Kitty Cafe is a whole new challenge for Velveeta but once she adjusts to the environment hopefully this girl will enjoy cuddling on the couches with visitors to MKC. When she does I’m sure she will have no trouble finding a forever family to love her.

Magenta
In Cottage

Birthdate: July 22, 2022
Magenta is a petite and pretty orange girl with a little collar of white fur. One of 4 ginger siblings surrendered to Purrfect Companions, Magenta came into foster care already super friendly. The kittens were born in a garage to a stray mom and the property owner suspects that the pregnant kitty may have been dropped off. The family of kitties were cared for in the garage for a few months until surrendered to our shelter and placed in a PCON foster home. Magenta led the way for her group as they became more socialized to be ready for adoption. This very outgoing, playful girl is loving and curious. She enjoys exploring and playing with her siblings and her toys. Magenta has had a happy life since coming to live in a kind & caring foster home and is at MKC ready to meet her forever family. This sweet & playful girl would love to be adopted with one of her siblings.
